The Black Keys and Creed postpone concerts amid Canadian wildfire smoke

The Black Keys and Creed cancelled their outdoor performances after poor air quality from wildfires in Canada spread into the United States. The Black Keys, slated to headline at Chicago’s Salt Shed, announced on Facebook, “Upon advisement from the city of Chicago and for the safety of our fans, we are postponing tonight’s show due to the increasing wildfire smoke in the city.” Their concerts have been moved to an indoor venue on Oct. 20‑21, with existing tickets honored.

Creed’s show at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota was also delayed, now rescheduled for Sept. 5. The band’s statement emphasized fan safety and noted that tickets will remain valid. Supporting act Bush will not appear at the new date. Both postponements reflect the broader impact of Canadian wildfire smoke on public events in the region.
