Rebel Wolves to update The Blood of Dawnwalker in October

Rebel Wolves has announced a major post-launch update for its vampire RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, scheduled for early October 2026. The update aims to address player feedback regarding combat and accessibility rather than adding new story content.

A primary feature of the patch is the introduction of a new, even easier difficulty level designed for players who wish to focus on the narrative without engaging in heavy combat. This will result in a total of five difficulty settings, as the current ‘Story’ mode will be renamed to a more challenging tier, such as ‘Demanding’.

Technical and gameplay improvements will also be implemented, including: - Reworked combat targeting and camera systems to prevent issues during enemy stun mechanics. - Enhanced escape mechanics to allow players to flee combat more smoothly without getting stuck on environmental geometry. - Performance optimizations, specifically targeting PC stability and frame rates. - Adjustments to animal AI to prevent unwanted aggression during exploration.

Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz noted that the studio has been working on these refinements since the game's release. While a ‘New Game Plus’ mode is being considered for the future, it is not confirmed for this specific October update.
