The Champions Burger festival brings street food competition to Vigo and Huelva

The Champions Burger festival is currently hosting street food competitions in Vigo and Huelva, Spain. The event features a ‘California Dreaming’ theme, utilizing food trucks, neon lights, and music to recreate a West Coast United States aesthetic.

In Vigo, local establishments such as Caracuchos Furious Food, Carnivale, and Custom Burger are competing against regional favorites like Madison from Zaragoza and Dalú from Madrid. The competition highlights specialized creations, including ‘La Heredera’, which features brioche bread, matured ribeye, and Monterey Jack cheese, and ‘The Smashing Pumpkins’, which uses potato bread and low-temperature pulled pork rib.

In Huelva, the festival includes 14 different burger establishments from various parts of the country. Participants can vote for their favorite creations using QR codes, participating in a mobile tasting experience designed to showcase unique recipes developed specifically for the tour.
