The Ellinikon Sports Park inaugurated in Greece

The first phase of The Ellinikon Sports Park, a project by LAMDA Development, has been officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The sports complex, constructed by a consortium including the AKTOR Group, covers a total area of 287,000 square meters.

Key facilities include a modern 400m athletics stadium with eight lanes, a throwing training center with natural grass, and a grandstand building for 1,075 spectators designed for accessibility. The complex also features four outdoor football pitches, two basketball courts, and two tennis courts. Additionally, the site includes an administration building and an athlete accommodation building with 274 beds.

The football pitches have received international recognition, with two synthetic pitches holding FIFA Pro certification and two hybrid pitches receiving the ‘Excellent’ rating from the FIFA Pitch Rating System. The development also incorporates extensive landscaping, including two central plazas, pedestrian walkways, and green spaces designed to integrate the park into the broader urban environment.
