In Thessaloniki, the redevelopment of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre (HELEXPO) is moving toward implementation. Backed by 204.6 million euros through the National Development Program (2026-2030), the project aims to create a sustainable international hub. Plans include constructing two bioclimatic exhibition buildings, Hall 1 and Hall 2, renovating the Ioannis Vellidis Convention Center, and creating a 120-acre metropolitan park. An international tender has been announced, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and completion targeted for the end of 2030.
