THE FARM launches specialty Koshihikari rice brand

The agricultural resort THE FARM, operated by The Farm Co., Ltd., has launched a new rice product named ‘Nouka no Hitokumai’ (Farmer’s Secret Rice). The product consists of 2026 Koshihikari rice cultivated by farmer Kiyokatsu Ishibashi.

The name ‘Nouka no Hitokumai’ is a concept created by THE FARM to represent rice that farmers typically reserve for their own families and close acquaintances due to its high quality. It is not an official variety or public classification, but rather a way to convey the value of rice that meets a farmer’s personal standard of deliciousness.

Sales began on September 18, 2026. The rice is available at THE FARM BASE, Ofuro café Karinoyu, and through the THE FARM online shop. In-store prices are 2,480 yen for 3kg and 3,580 yen for 5kg, while online prices are 2,600 yen for 3kg and 3,700 yen for 5kg, excluding shipping.
