The Flower Kings announce new progressive rock album ‘Hope’

Progressive rock band The Flower Kings has announced their 18th studio album, titled ‘Hope’, scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, via InsideOutMusic. The project follows their 2025 album ‘Love’ and features a return to long-form, epic compositions, including tracks lasting 18 and 28 minutes.

Founding member Roine Stolt stated that the creative process focused on making an album the band members would love personally, rather than pursuing commercial trends. The album is described as a meditation on the modern world, reflecting on themes of division and empathy while maintaining an underlying message of hope.

Key tracks include ‘The Gods of Rome’, a nearly 30-minute centerpiece originally conceived from orchestral ideas over a decade ago. The band has also released a music video for the first single, ‘In A World Of Fools’. The album will be available in various formats, including a limited edition CD and Blu-ray Digipak featuring Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround mixes.
