Founder Roine Stolt described the album as a meditation on the modern world, focusing on themes of division and empathy. He noted that the creative process prioritized music the band members personally love over commercial viability. The album will be available in various formats, including limited edition CD and Blu-ray Digipak options featuring Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround mixes.
