The Hunger Games franchise prepares for new prequel release

The Hunger Games franchise is preparing for the release of a new installment, ‘The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest’, scheduled for worldwide release on November 19. To build momentum, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (Part 1)’ was re-released in theaters on October 15.

The upcoming film serves as a prequel based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 book. It focuses on the backstory of Haymitch Abernathy, detailing his experience during the Second Quarter Quell—a special edition of the games where four tributes were selected from each district. The narrative follows Haymitch's journey from his 16th birthday through his selection as the official victor of District 12.
