The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping trailer reveals Glenn Close transformation

A new trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ showcases Glenn Close’s dramatic transformation into Drusilla Sickle, the cruel escort for District 12 during the 50th annual Hunger Games. Close utilized prosthetics and elaborate costumes to portray the character, who is responsible for announcing the Second Quarter Quell twist where 48 tributes are sent into the arena instead of the usual 24.

Director Francis Lawrence, who returns to helm the franchise, stated that his guidance for the new cast was to capture the spirit of the original characters without copying previous performances. This includes Elle Fanning, who portrays a younger version of the Capitol stylist Effie Trinket, and Joseph Zada, who plays a teenage Haymitch Abernathy. The film is set to be released in November.
