Netflix releases survival thriller 'The Last House' starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura

Netflix’s upcoming psychological thriller “The Last House” follows a married couple, played by Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, who become trapped inside their home with their two children. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the film depicts the family’s struggle to survive as supplies dwindle and an unseen external threat keeps the house sealed.

The production was shot entirely inside a single house that deteriorates over time, creating a claustrophobic set that Leterrier described as the most difficult film of his career. The director said the story also reflects themes of consumerism and greed, urging viewers to consider how they would cope if a similar lockdown occurred.

The Last House” will be released globally on Netflix on August 7, with a runtime of 110 minutes. The cast also includes Sid Edwards, Lewis Goody, Audrey Anderson and others.
