The New Level discuss WWE departure and AEW success

Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, performing as The New Level, have addressed their transition from WWE to AEW. The duo confirmed that they chose to leave WWE after being offered contract restructures involving pay cuts exceeding 50 percent. Austin Creed noted that the pair specifically sought out AEW due to its robust tag team division and a perceived grassroots atmosphere that differs from the corporate structure of WWE.

Since their debut at AEW All In in London, The New Level has achieved immediate success, capturing the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Swerve Strickland. They successfully defended the titles on the September 2 episode of AEW Dynamite against The Rascalz.

In other AEW developments, Mercedes Moné celebrated her new AEW Women’s World Championship, and Christian Cage and Adam Copeland announced they will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match against FTR and The Young Bucks at AEW All Out.
