The New Level wins AEW World Trios Titles in debut

The New Level, formerly known as New Day, has made a high-profile debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), winning the AEW World Trios Titles during the All In pay-per-view. The duo, consisting of Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, emerged as the sole survivors in a Trios Roulette Royale match alongside Swerve Strickland.

Following the title win, Ricochet and his group, The Demand, criticized the newcomers. Ricochet dismissed Kingston and Creed as ‘rookies’ who upstaged established talent, suggesting they have yet to pay their dues within the promotion.

In a separate commentary, Jim Cornette discussed the duo's transition from WWE to AEW. He noted that Kingston and Creed reportedly faced significant pay cuts during contract negotiations with WWE, which may have influenced their decision to join AEW. While Cornette acknowledged that AEW owner Tony Khan was willing to meet their financial requirements, he expressed skepticism regarding whether the move would increase their overall profile among the wider wrestling audience, suggesting they might become ‘just another cog’ in the company.
