The Pokémon Company to shut down Pokémon Unite in 2027

The Pokémon Company has announced that the cross-platform MOBA title Pokémon Unite will cease operations on March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. The shutdown affects all versions of the game, including those on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

Following the announcement, the sale of the premium in-game currency, Aeos Gems, has been discontinued. While players will not receive refunds for existing Aeos Gems, they may continue to spend them until the service ends. Additionally, new subscriptions to the Unite Club monthly premium membership are no longer available, though current members can use their benefits until their existing terms expire.

To mark the conclusion of the service, a special event will be held, and the previously announced Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament will proceed as planned.
