Pokémon UNITE service termination

Overview

The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studio Group announced that service for the multiplayer online battle arena game Pokémon UNITE will officially end on March 23, 2027. The shutdown affects the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android versions.

Following the announcement, the sale of the premium currency, Aeos Gems, was suspended, and new UNITE Club memberships were discontinued. While players will not receive refunds for existing Aeos Gems, they may continue to spend them until the service terminates. Existing members can utilize their benefits until their current subscription periods expire.

To commemorate the conclusion, a special update is scheduled for November 12, 2026, featuring a farewell event and a “Library” feature that allows players to download and preserve personal game records and achievements. The competitive scene is set to conclude with the Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 tournament in Tokyo, with regional qualifiers beginning in December 2026 and a grand final in March 2027.
