The Rolling Stones return to the studio for new recordings

The Rolling Stones have returned to the recording studio only three months after the release of their 25th studio album, ‘Foreign Tongues’. British jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine confirmed his participation in recent sessions with Mick Jagger, noting that he recorded new material for the group a few weeks ago.

Speaking on BBC Radio 3’s ‘Private Passions’, Pine described Jagger as ‘an incredible artist’. While the band has not officially announced a new album, the news aligns with previous comments from Mick Jagger, who suggested in June that he had already begun writing new songs. Jagger mentioned the possibility of these works forming a trilogy, though he noted that some compositions might be intended for other artists.

Despite the creative momentum, plans for a 2026 stadium tour in the UK and Europe have been canceled due to Keith Richards’ other commitments. However, Jagger has expressed interest in returning to the stage next year and has mentioned the possibility of performing at the Glastonbury Festival in 2027.
