The Uprising moves to digital release following theatrical run

The medieval epic ‘The Uprising’, starring Andrew Garfield and directed by Paul Greengrass, has transitioned to digital platforms for purchase or rental as of September 29. This home release comes 18 days after its theatrical debut.

Following a domestic theatrical run that earned $6.4 million against a $20 million production budget, the film is moving to digital availability due to a standard Universal Pictures agreement that allows underperforming titles to move to home media quickly. The film, which draws inspiration from the events surrounding the legend of Robin Hood, features an ensemble cast including Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, and Tom Hollander.

Physical media releases, including 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD, are scheduled for November 3. These editions will include behind-the-scenes featurettes and deleted scenes for customers at participating retailers.
