The Whisper Man thriller starring Robert De Niro arrives on Netflix
The Netflix thriller ‘The Whisper Man’, based on Alex North’s 2019 crime novel, was released on August 28. The film stars Robert De Niro, Adam Scott, and Michelle Monaghan.
Directed by James Ashcroft, the story follows a retired police officer and his estranged son, a crime novelist, who must work together when a series of kidnappings and murders in the fictional town of Garretton mirror the crimes of a serial killer from the past.
To capture the film's grim and bleak tone, the production was filmed on location throughout New Jersey, including scenes at a real house in Plainfield.
