Theatrical productions feature in Spanish autumn programming

Various theatrical productions are scheduled across Spain as part of regional autumn programming. In Villacarrillo, the play ‘Lorca Perdida’ opened the XXII Otoño de Teatro de Villacarrillo. Produced by the Jaén-based company Teatro La Paca, the work was written by Tomás Afán and directed by Carmen Gámez. The play utilizes the poetry of Federico García Lorca to explore themes of memory, freedom, and LGTBI+ rights through a theatrical seance.

At the Casa de las Artes, the weekend lineup includes ‘Sísifos’ by UpArte, a contemporary circus piece featuring 14 acrobats reinterpreting the myth of Sisyphus. Additionally, L´Horta Teatre will present ‘Bola’, a production designed for early childhood that explores geometry and spatial coexistence through the characters Bola and Cubo.
