Theft of Pokémon cards and games reported in Dutch burglaries

Two separate burglaries targeting collectible items have been reported in the Netherlands.

In Den Bosch, thieves broke into the home of Harm Groeneveld, a game shop owner, stealing Pokémon cards, video games, and other collectibles valued at approximately 50,000 euros. The perpetrator(s) forced a window and ransacked an upstairs office, reportedly using bed pillowcases to carry away the stolen goods. Groeneveld noted that many of the items, including an old Game Boy, hold significant nostalgic value.

In Stad, ParadiseCards TCG was targeted by three suspects who smashed a window and forced the front door. The shop owner, Jos Smeins, reported significant property damage, including broken display cases and doors. While the suspects fled on two motorcycles, Smeins indicated that the alarm system likely prevented the theft of much of the most valuable inventory, though the shop had to close temporarily for repairs.
