Reports of thefts targeting tourists and beachgoers have emerged along various Italian coastlines. In Bari, specifically at the Pane e Pomodoro beach, thieves are reportedly using a technique involving towels or clothing to cover bags and backpacks left under umbrellas. This method allows them to quickly seize valuables such as phones, wallets, and watches while victims are swimming.

In Cagliari, authorities have reported a series of thefts at the Poetto coastline. Carabinieri officers recently detained an individual following a mobile phone theft and an attempted bag robbery. The suspect was identified through fingerprint analysis after providing false information. Additionally, several vehicles in the area were broken into to steal items from dashboards and trunks.
