Thekla, Inc. announces Order of the Sinking Star release date

Thekla, Inc., the studio led by designer Jonathan Blow, has released a new trailer for the upcoming puzzle game ‘Order of the Sinking Star’. Following nearly a decade of development, the title is scheduled for a simultaneous release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8, 2026.

The game features a non-linear structure centered around a vast hub known as the Overworld. Players can explore four distinct regions, each containing unique mechanics, narratives, and characters. The game is expected to include over one thousand handcrafted puzzles that evolve as the different worlds eventually collide and their systems intertwine.

One specific region, ‘The Valiant Heroes of Hauling’, introduces a fantasy-themed team of adventurers—including a Warrior, Thief, Mage, Bard, Cleric, and Druid—each possessing unique abilities to manipulate objects and solve environmental puzzles.
