Theodora Zakri urges PASOK to show its patriotic side

Greek MP Theodora Zakri has issued a statement regarding the 52nd anniversary of the founding of PASOK, emphasizing the importance of national independence, popular sovereignty, and social liberation.

In a social media post, Zakri noted that the priority of national independence has remained unchanged since the party's inception in 1981. She suggested that the country is heading toward an electoral conflict where national issues will be the primary stake. Zakri expressed her hope that PASOK will demonstrate its “strongly embedded patriotic side” and avoid conceding the field of national criticism to ultra-right views or inward-looking political stances.
