Thessaloniki drug ring dismantled by Greek authorities

Greek authorities, specifically members of the DEOS of AADE, have dismantled an organized drug trafficking ring in Thessaloniki. The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals, aged 18, 25, and 30.

Investigations revealed that the group targeted young people, including minors, using encrypted communication applications such as Telegram to coordinate sales and provide instructions. Transactions were facilitated through the use of cryptocurrencies.

During the operation, police seized 3.5 kilograms of cannabis and 120 grams of cocaine. Searches of the suspects' residences also uncovered equipment indicative of organized trafficking, including precision scales and devices used for cryptocurrency payments. The suspects have been brought before the competent prosecutor, and investigations continue to identify further members of the organization.
