Thessaloniki: Hungarian driver arrested for dangerous driving

Thessaloniki Traffic Police arrested a 24-year-old Hungarian driver following dangerous driving maneuvers near the city's New Waterfront. The incident occurred on Alexandrou Avenue during an organized gathering of international drivers featuring high-performance sports cars.

While the group had obtained permits to park their vehicles near a local hotel, authorities clarified that the permission did not extend to driving maneuvers or erratic movement on the public road network. The driver is facing a legal case for dangerous driving that endangered people and objects on the road.

The incident has caused significant irritation for the Mayor of Thessaloniki. Local municipal authorities are expected to review the framework for such events to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
