Thessaloniki police arrest seven for illegal noise levels

Greek police in Thessaloniki carried out inspections of health‑related shops from the night of 24 July to the early morning of 26 July 2026. Officers from the White Tower, Tombas‑Triandria and Kordelio‑Evos precincts detained seven people – owners or temporary managers – who were operating sound systems and amplifiers that exceeded the legally permitted noise limits.

The arrests were part of an effort to enforce noise‑pollution regulations governing commercial premises that sell health‑care products.
