Zakynthos police seize cocaine, firearm and €19,000 in Laganas drug bust

Police from the Zakynthos Crime Investigation Department arrested three people in a coordinated operation targeting drug trafficking in the Laganas area. The arrests took place on the night of 8 July and the morning of 9 July 2026 and involved two foreign nationals, aged 19 and 24, and a 23‑year‑old Greek citizen.

Searches of the suspects’ belongings uncovered two packages of cocaine, five drug tablets, a revolver, a 9 mm pistol, €19,485 in cash, a dual‑cylinder motorcycle, a car and several mobile phones. All three suspects were brought before the Zakynthos misdemeanor prosecutor on charges of drug possession, drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession.
