Antonis Remos celebrates 30-year career with Thessaloniki concert
Antonis Remos held a massive commemorative concert at the Thessaloniki New Waterfront to celebrate 30 years in the music industry. The event, which featured 1,200 drones, fireworks, and giant LED screens, was marked by significant delays due to heavy rainfall and severe weather conditions.
Despite the storm, the concert proceeded after safety checks were completed. A highly emotional moment occurred when Remos paid tribute to the late singer Giorgos Mazonakis, performing his hit ‘Aniko se mena’ and displaying a photo of him on the video wall. The event also included guest appearances by artists such as Despina Vandi, Kaiti Garbi, and the Gipsy Kings.
The large scale of the event, coinciding with the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, led to high hotel occupancy rates exceeding 95% and required significant traffic management by local police to handle the crowds and tourist buses.
