Thessaly hosts successful ‘Antiochos-26’ national emergency exercise

The National Multi-Branch Exercise Without Troops (TAAS) ‘Antiochos-26’ has successfully concluded in the Thessaly region of Greece. The exercise involved coordinated efforts between military and civilian sectors to test operational readiness and emergency response capabilities.

Key activities included the inspection of shelters and the management of hypothetical scenarios involving vulnerable groups through map-based exercises. Officials noted that the drill aimed to strengthen the relationship of trust and cooperation between the Armed Forces, Civil Protection, and other relevant agencies to ensure effective management of emergency situations.

During the closing ceremony, regional officials emphasized the importance of citizen preparedness, including the necessity for the public to be informed about the locations of local shelters.
