Thessaly Region approves €364,000 for road safety in Larissa
The Thessaly Region has approved a budget of €364,254.75 for road safety technical works within the Larissa regional unit. Following the signing of a contract with the project contractor, the initiative aims to upgrade the local road network and enhance citizen safety.
Part of a broader strategic plan for road safety in Larissa, the project is included in the Public Investment Program and co-financed through SANP 417. The technical interventions will target specific points on both provincial and national networks. Planned works include road surface restoration, infrastructure cleaning, new road markings, the installation or replacement of regulatory signs, and the placement of safety barriers in high-risk areas.
Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas stated that the project is a critical step toward delivering a modern, functional, and safe road network to the citizens of Larissa.
