Thessaly Region implements infrastructure projects in Larissa and Elassona

The Thessaly Region is implementing several infrastructure projects in the Larissa regional unit to improve urban living and support the local agricultural economy.

In Larissa, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with a budget of €327,659.13 will transform a nearly 3-acre area on Aleuadōn Street into a modern neighborhood park. This bioclimatic urban upgrade includes the installation of shading pergolas, outdoor fitness equipment, playground structures, interactive games, solar lighting, and an irrigation network to enhance the local residential environment.

In Elassona, Deputy Regional Governor Maria Galliou inspected ongoing rural road construction projects in the Tsaritsani area. These works, carried out by the Thessaly Region in cooperation with the Municipality of Elassona, aim to improve access for farmers and livestock breeders to agricultural lands. Several road networks in surrounding communities have already been completed, with ongoing interventions intended to support the primary sector and local agricultural economy.
