Thierry Tazemeta leaves Borussia Dortmund for 1. FC Kaiserslautern
Eighteen‑year‑old Austrian winger Thierry Tazemeta has transferred from Borussia Dortmund’s youth system to 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the 2026/27 season. The player joined Dortmund from St. Pölten in winter 2024 and featured in 45 youth matches, scoring 21 goals for the U17 and U19 sides, including a German U‑Junior championship with the U17. Paul Schaffran, head of Dortmund’s academy, said, “Thierry has developed well at BVB and earned this chance in the second division.” Kaiserslautern sport director Marcel Klos called Tazemeta “an international top talent” and highlighted his technical skill, speed and physical attributes. The move offers the forward regular senior playing time, while Dortmund view the departure as a routine step in youth squad management.
