THQ Nordic renames Europa 1410 to The Guild 1 Remake

THQ Nordic has announced that the upcoming title Europa 1410 is being renamed to ‘The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410’ (Die Gilde 1 Remake: Europa 1410). The decision is a direct response to community feedback to better manage player expectations.

While recent entries in the series, such as The Guild 2 and 3, focused on life simulation elements like romance and personal drama, this remake aims to return to the economic strategy roots of the original 2002 game. Developed by Ashborne Games, the title will emphasize business strategy, dynasty management, and political calculation from a strategic bird's-eye view rather than direct character control.

The game is scheduled to enter Early Access on PC via Steam on September 17, 2026.
