Three arrested after foiled robbery at Turin dental clinic

In the early hours of Saturday night, a break‑in was attempted at a dental studio on Strada Basse del Lingotto in Turin, Italy. Residents reported the sound of shattered glass, prompting a rapid response from the Carabinieri’s Nucleo Radiomobile. Police entered the premises, confronting a masked 65‑year‑old man caught with burglary tools.

Using a radio carried by the suspect, officers impersonated a criminal accomplice, luring two other members of the gang—aged 57 and 67—into a trap. The three men, all Italian, were arrested in the street while attempting to meet for the alleged loot. They have been charged with aggravated theft in concert and transferred to the Lorusso e Cutugno prison pending trial.

The operation highlighted the Carabinieri’s swift action and innovative use of the criminals’ own radio equipment to foil the crime.
