Three dead in armed attack in Villa Benito Juárez, Navolato, Mexico

On the early morning of 19 July 2026, armed assailants opened fire on three men in the Las Cupias colonia of Villa Benito Juárez, a community within the municipality of Navolato, Sinaloa. The shooting occurred around 02:00 local time and left the victims critically injured. Two men died while receiving emergency care at local hospitals, and the third succumbed to his wounds later at the Hospital General in Culiacán.

The incident is being investigated by the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) of Sinaloa. State investigators have secured the scene, collected ballistic evidence, and are working to identify the perpetrators and the remaining victim. The area was cordoned off to preserve forensic material as the probe continues.
