Morelos: Three Dismembered Men Found Near Temixco Town Square
In the early hours of Saturday, 25 July 2026, residents of Acatlipa, a locality in the municipality of Temixco, Morelos, heard gunshots and reported the noise to authorities. Police, the National Guard and municipal forces arrived at the town square and discovered three male bodies that had been dismembered, their heads and limbs placed in colored plastic bags and egg‑cardboard boxes.
Forensic teams from the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) secured the scene, collected evidence and transferred the remains to the Servicio Médico Forense for DNA identification. No arrests have been reported. The incident followed a recent discovery of a human head inside a cooler in the neighboring municipality of Axochiapan. President Claudia Sheinbaum, who was in the region for a housing program visit, later addressed the security situation, and the mayor of Temixco, Israel Piña Labra (PAN‑PRI‑PRD coalition), confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
