Brazil police arrest men for domestic violence and order breaches

Police forces in several Brazilian states have detained multiple men on charges of domestic violence, violation of protective orders, sexual exploitation and illegal firearm possession.

In São Paulo, three men were arrested in Botucatu and São Manuel after assaulting their partners, including physical injury and threats. A separate case in Junqueirópolis led to the capture of a 32‑year‑old man accused of sexual abuse of his daughter and other child‑exploitation crimes.

Violations of protective measures were reported in Cândido Mota (São Paulo), Juazeiro (Bahia), Silveiras (São Paulo) and other locales, where men were taken into custody after ignoring court‑issued orders and, in some instances, resisting police. An incident in Rosário do Ivaí (Paraná) resulted in the seizure of a .22 caliber firearm and ammunition after the suspect threatened a woman while intoxicated. In Catanduva (São Paulo), a domestic‑violence report uncovered an arsenal of more than ten illegal firearms, leading to the offender’s arrest.

These coordinated actions highlight ongoing law‑enforcement efforts to combat gender‑based violence and related crimes across Brazil.
