Three Rivers Land Trust conserves 130 acres on Abbotts Creek

Three Rivers Land Trust has successfully secured the permanent conservation of 130 acres of farm and forest land along Abbotts Creek in Davidson County. The property, a tributary of the Yadkin River located at the mouth of High Rock Lake, includes 3,600 feet of creek frontage and 56 acres of bottomland hardwood forest.

The conservation easement aims to protect wildlife habitats and maintain water quality within the broader Yadkin River Basin. Landowners Tyler and Meghan Forrest initiated the easement to ensure the natural character of the land remains preserved for future generations.
