Three women killed in separate shootings across Guanajuato municipalities

Between July 5 and July 6, 2026, three women were shot dead in three Guanajuato municipalities – Salamanca, San Miguel de Allende and Valle de Santiago. In Salamanca, a woman was killed and another person injured when gunmen opened fire on a white pickup. In Valle de Santiago, a woman in her mid‑30s was executed on Vasco de Quiroga Street. In San Miguel de Allende, a woman died and two men were wounded after an armed attack on Salamanca Street in the Guanajuatito neighborhood.

Authorities have opened investigations in each case, securing the scenes, collecting forensic evidence and sending the victims' bodies to the forensic service for autopsy. No suspects have been identified or detained, and the motives for the attacks remain unknown.
