Crocetta del Montello: Three-year-old Yahya Mohammadi dies after road accident

Yahya Mohammadi, a three-year-old boy, has died following a road accident in Crocetta del Montello, Treviso. The incident occurred on a Wednesday evening in via Boschieri while the child was with his family after visiting a local playground.

The child was struck by a Volkswagen Golf while attempting to cross the road. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation performed by a nearby nurse, and 72 hours of intensive care at the pediatric hospital in Padua, medical staff declared brain death.

The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old resident of Montebelluna, tested negative for alcohol and drugs. Authorities are conducting investigations, and the driver faces formal scrutiny under the charge of road homicide. The Mohammadi family, who reside in Cortemaggiore, expressed profound grief, supported by condolences from the mayors of both Crocetta del Montello and Cortemaggiore.
