Thy Catafalque releases new single ‘Tömbök’

Hungarian avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque has released a new single and music video titled ‘Tömbök’ (‘Masses’). The track is the second single from the band’s upcoming thirteenth album, ‘XIII: Sárga erdő’, which is scheduled for release on November 20 via Season of Mist.

Led by Tamás Kátai, the project features a rotating cast of musicians. The new single includes vocals from Gábor Veres and Ivett Dudás, lead guitars by Krisztián Varga and Zoltán Vigh, and flute by Dario Cei. The upcoming album was recorded at various locations, including Miracle Sound Szeged, and notably features live drums for the first time in the project’s history, alongside a twenty-voice male choir and thirty-four additional musicians.

Thy Catafalque, which originated in Makó in 1998, has previously won two Fonogram Awards. The project is also planning a European headline tour beginning in March 2026.
