Ticket Sports reports over 1,400 sports events across Brazil in first half of 2026

Ticket Sports, the largest Latin American platform for event registrations, released data showing that from January to June 2026 more than 1,400 sports events were held throughout Brazil, attracting roughly 940,000 participants. Road races dominated the calendar, accounting for over 70% of the events, underscoring the Brazilian public’s preference for running competitions.

Key events included the 41st Porto Alegre International Marathon, the 40th edition of the 10 km Tribuna race, the Paraná International Marathon at Ponte de Guaratuba, the Fortaleza Marathon 2026, the Florianópolis International Half Marathon (Oakberry 2026), and the New Balance 15 km São Paulo 2026. The growth of the event schedule is highlighted as a driver of tourism, hotel, gastronomy and local commerce.

Gabriela Donatello, Head of Marketing at Ticket Sports, said the market is becoming increasingly mature, with organizers investing in richer experiences, technology and services, which “expands access to sport and strengthens the whole ecosystem of sporting events in Brazil.” The platform also noted rising diversity and quality of events, reflecting professionalisation and greater investment in the sector.
