Tickets released for Los Angeles' Lucas Museum of Narrative Art ahead of September opening

General admission tickets for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles' Exposition Park began selling on July 21 at 10 a.m. PST. Adults pay $25, seniors $21, and children under 17, active‑duty military, personal aides, and EBT cardholders enter for free. Each purchaser may buy up to nine tickets, which are timed‑entry slots.

Buyers must join a virtual queue that can hold thousands of people; wait times of up to six hours were reported, with some visitors waiting four to five hours before completing checkout. The museum encourages shoppers not to refresh the page during the process. The museum will open on Sept. 22, with a community preview day on Sept. 13. Residents of the 90037 ZIP code can later obtain free LM37 passes for themselves and a guest.

The 300,000‑sq‑ft museum, co‑founded by filmmaker George Lucas and business executive Mellody Hobson, will showcase more than 1,200 works ranging from prehistoric cave paintings to modern screen art.
