Tigres de Quintana Roo drop out of LMB playoff race

Tigres de Quintana Roo finished the regular season in seventh place in the Southern zone of the 2026 Liga Mexicana de Béisbol with a 39‑37 record, putting them out of the six‑team playoff field. The series of the season’s final stretch will see them travel to Oaxaca to face the Guerreros de Oaxaca, who sit fifth with a 41‑37 record, in a bid to stay alive for a postseason berth. The Southern zone leaders are Diablos Rojos del México (53‑25), followed by Olmecas de Tabasco (45‑33) and Pericos de Puebla (40‑36); the remaining playoff spots are held by Bravos de León, Guerreros de Oaxaca and Piratas de Campeche. With only a few games left, Tigres must win to climb into the sixth spot ahead of Piratas de Campeche (38‑36).
