Tilly Norwood AI actress debuts in music video

Tilly Norwood, described as the world’s first AI actress, has begun making public appearances, including a music video filmed in London. Created by Eline van der Velden, the photorealistic digital performer is designed to star in AI-generated films that might otherwise be too niche or expensive to produce using traditional methods.

The project, titled ‘Tilly Norwood (and the Tillyverse),’ was developed over six months by the British production company Particle6. A team of 15 used various AI tools, including ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Perplexity, and Gemini, to build the character. The development process required over 2,000 iterations to achieve a high-quality, photorealistic appearance that does not resemble any real person.

Particle6 has submitted the project for the IBC2026 Awards in the ‘Content Everywhere’ category. The goal is to test whether a fully AI-generated figure can maintain a credible, evolving presence across multiple platforms with genuine audience engagement. Tilly Norwood has already established a presence on YouTube and Instagram, reaching an estimated 80 million people.
