Rock in Rio launches hunger relief campaign and TIM ticket promotion

Rock in Rio has partnered with the organization Ação da Cidadania for a social campaign titled “Um Mundo Melhor é um Mundo sem Fome” (A Better World is a World Without Hunger). The initiative aims to donate 2 million meals to combat food insecurity in Brazil. The festival has already committed an initial donation of 500,000 meals.

To engage the public, the campaign includes several mechanisms: a QR code for direct donations, a raffle of up to 1,000 pairs of tickets for those who donate R$ 25, and the sale of official t-shirts where each purchase contributes 50 meals. A real-time tracker called a “pratômetro” will be installed at Cidade do Rock to monitor donation progress.

Separately, telecommunications company TIM is running a commercial promotion for the festival. TIM is distributing 4,000 tickets to customers who purchase selected JBL audio products and subscribe to eligible post-paid plans, such as TIM Black or TIM Ultracombo, with a 12-month commitment. This promotion is available in select physical stores across Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná, and the Distrito Federal.
