Tina Šutej and Matic Ian Guček to represent Slovenia in Budapest

Slovenian athletes Tina Šutej and Matic Ian Guček will represent Slovenia at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest. Šutej will compete in the pole vault, while Guček will participate in the 400m hurdles.

The new championship format, held every two years during non-world championship years, features a significant prize pool. World Athletics has allocated 10 million euros for the prize fund, with first-place finishers in individual disciplines set to receive 129,000 euros.

Šutej enters the competition following a strong performance at the Diamond League final in Brussels, where she secured third place with a jump of 470 centimeters. Guček, a 22-year-old athlete, expressed that his primary focus remains on his performance rather than the financial rewards.
