World Athletics Ultimate Championship participation

Overview

Athletes from various Balkan nations have secured qualification for the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest, scheduled for September 11–13, 2026.

Serbian participants include Luka Bošković in long jump, Angelina Topić in high jump, and Adriana Vilagoš in javelin throw. Ivana Španović is currently the first reserve for the triple jump. Notably, Montenegrin high jumper Marija Vuković, despite her high global ranking, was not among the eight athletes selected to compete.

Slovenia will be represented by Tina Šutej in the pole vault and Matic Ian Guček in the 400m hurdles. The championship features a significant prize pool of 10 million euros, with individual discipline winners set to receive 129,000 euros.
