Tirumala hosts 500 artists for Brahmotsavams cultural celebrations

Nearly 500 artists from across India participated in cultural performances in Tirumala as part of the Brahmotsavams festival. During the Simha Vahana Seva ritual, 19 troupes comprising 494 artists from eight states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, presented various traditional art forms.

The performances included a range of classical and folk dances such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Chhau, and Kolatam, as well as drum ensembles and other regional styles like Bangra, Cholia, and Garbha.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple, noted that the annual Brahmotsavams are among the most significant of the more than 450 festivals held at the shrine annually.
