Tirupati: Two men die from toxic gas in well accident
Two men died due to toxic gas inhalation while attempting to retrieve a mobile phone from a well in Shivajyoti Nagar, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The victims, identified as Bhimraju and Naresh, were residents of Odisha working at a clothing store in Tirupati. According to reports, Bhimraju entered the well to recover his phone that had accidentally fallen in. When he failed to return, Naresh descended into the well to rescue him. Both men lost consciousness and died due to the accumulation of toxic gases at the bottom of the well.
Alipiri police and fire services responded to the scene. Firefighters recovered the bodies, which were subsequently sent to the SVGR Government General Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
